Interesting World of Washington D.C.

I just have a short time so this has to be quick. In the hot hotel room last night I decided to pull out the little fan I bought to travel with so I can stay cool enough to sleep at night. Everywhere I go claims to have air conditioning but I sure don't get much benefit from what they have so I decided to take my own. Great idea and when I pulled it out of my suitcase, the cord and plug were missing! Uh oh, I realized that the cord I left lying on the sofa that I didnt recognize from my cord bag was the fan cord. My own fault which makes me so angry at me. Murray said he always labels cords with white labels. Good idea so I went out and bought the labels but never got around to labeling the cords, I wouldn't forget what the important ones are...ha! I unpacked the entire suitcase hoping I was mistaken, but there was no cord, it is home safe and sound! Next move, call the front desk to tell them it was too hot in the room. This is close to 3AM by then. The man says did you turn the thermostat down all at one time, well, yes I did as a matter of fact. Well, he tells me, that turns on the heat! Now I'm not sure how I would have known that, but he said to turn it back up and turn it down a degree at a time. Yes, at 3 AM I became a specialist. It worked and the air came on, it wasn't cold but much better and I was able to sleep.

Tried to find a store today but no one had any small fans left, guess I will hope that my hotels are cool.

Time to catch my next flight...more info from my next stop on the other side of the ocean!
